Organ Mtns Sunset

Last updated April 29, 2011

Aguirre Spring is not just one of those out of the way magic stops located in south central New Mexico. It's a destination all of its own.

I was fortunate to make the campground my last night during my August 2010 New Mexico swing. Consequently I was able to enjoy both the sunset and the sunrise.

It's redundant to mention abundant New Mexican wildlife, so I won't. Just say gray vireos, spotted towhees, fence lizards, sotol, and Arizona white and gray oaks.

View looking north from Aguirre Spring. White Sands NM is just out of the picture to the east.
