Lunar, variations through a cycle

Last updated August 9, 2010

Because I could, I've been following the moon through its current (mid July  to mid August 2010) new to full and back to new cycle. I've posted a few photos on a Facebook album, open to the public. When the cycle is complete, I'll post the remainder of the set. These photos are taken from East Wenatchee and are over the Cascade foothills and through the trees of Kloshe Woods.

The set begins two days (56 hours) after New. The upcoming challenge will be to see how close I can photograph the waning moon to new.

Update: I was able to catch the moon one day before New (or about 32 hours). Tried this morning (12 hours before New), but was unsucessful.
