WSU-TFREC is committed to protecting human health, safety and the environment. The primary purpose of the TFREC safety program is to reduce the chance of injury or illness of employees and visitors through the communication of safety information and through the reduction of safety hazards. Employees are expected to use good judgment when doing their work and to follow safety policies and procedures established by WSU and TFREC.

Field Season Reminders
The beginning of field season is a great time to review TFREC safety policies regarding tailgate meetings, pesticide application/REI, vehicle safety inventory, PPE, heat stress, ladder safety and more. Head to the Field Season Reminders page for more information.
All new employees, including vounteers, transfers, rehires, temporary and part-time employess and those assigned new job responsibilities, are required to complete new employee orientation; training on TFREC courtesy, security and public awareness policies; accident and illness prevention; chemical hazard communication; ergonomics and heat illness prevention. Addtitional training may be required based on your job description.
Please allow 4 to 6 hours to complete the training.
