Abstract:We conducted a number of field studies with various cover crops and organic amendments to the soil to see if they would mitigate apple replant disease.  Compost did not mitigate replant, nor did cover crops of rapeseed, wheat, or sudangrass.  A one-year bare fallow also did not lead to a decline in replant pathogens.
