The goals of the commercialization plan are to
- Ensure fair access to all selections by all growers of Washington State
- Protect WSU Intellectual Property (IP)
- Ensure accessibility of WSU Apple Breeding Program (WSUABP)
Note: It is absolutely critical that you participate as phase 4 selection evaluator in order to participate in the phase 5 commercialization of WA 2
Grower evaluation (Phase 4)
Open to all commercial growers in Washington State paying Washington Apple Commission assessments
Evaluation sign up period: December 1 to March 31 annually for each of the 5 evaluation period years

Commercialization (Phase 5)
Evaluation contracts are converted to non-exclusive Commercial License. Stepped royalty, one time payment at time of planting…NO ADDITIONAL PAYMENTS
